My stay at Lantern was very pleasant. I am quite old and recently had keyhole surgery, so i appreciated they did all they could for me and it was useful to have all bags carried for me, even to the car when leaving. Service was excellent, staff very kind. I must also say it made me laugh to see some of the comments here. In my experience the staff are very kind and never rude, even when i cancelled a late booking due to health and they refunded ALL the money. Room was very clean, if a bit modest.

Close to city center
in the room we experienced a pungent smell (even with the bedroom window full open) In the bathrooms there was large areas of black mould on the walls

The Owners ..very friendly and accommodating helpful..willing to please..quiet food is delicious
Room felt cold and damp and it was far distance for walking if backpacking..If I was to arrive early a baggage charge would be in place where hotels I stayed never charged . If a taxi was to be called they charged and again other hotels did not charge..glad I had my phone.

My room here had a nice big bed that was super cozy. There were coffee and tea supplies, and even a TV to relax with. Everything was neat and the bathroom was a good size. the staff members I encountered were really friendly and willing to help out. 🌟

Leaving
The bathroom was shoddy, there was no bin, the room was not cleaned during my two day stay and the shower was fine if you happened to be no taller than a six year old child. I'm 52.
